Tony is a qualified solicitor who worked for 10 years in private practice before joining North of England's P&I Department. He now manages the Club's Greek office and deals with all aspects of P&I Claims.

Graham Anderson

Graham Anderson

Manager

Graham joined the Association in 1986. He has a B.Ed (Honours) and LL.B (Honours). Graham mainly deals with Cargo claims.

Tony Baker

Tony spent eighteen years at sea on cargo and container vessels. He joined the Association in 1999 and is head of the Risk Management Department, which coordinates the Association's Loss Prevention and Condition Survey programmes. He is a Master Mariner and has an MBA.

Iain Beange

Iain Beange

Manager (Singapore Office)

Iain spent sixteen years at sea, predominantly on dry bulk tonnage. He holds a British Master Mariner's Certificate, and has sailed as Master on bulk carriers. On leaving sea, Iain joined Clyde & Co in London where he was involved in "dry work". He began work in the Association's Claims Department in July 1995 and primarily handles admiralty, pollution and cargo claims. He obtained an LLB (Hons) in 2002. Between 200 and 2004, Iain worked in the Association's Hong Kong office and moved to Singapore at the beginning of 2007 to set up the Association's Singapore Office.

Richard Bracken

Richard joined North of England from Shell International Shipping in 1994. He sailed as Chief Engineer, and on a variety of ship types. He joined the Underwriting Department in 1998 and is one of the Underwriters working on both P&I and Hull and Machinery.

Nigel Bradshaw

IT Manager

After obtaining a BA (Honours) Accounting & Finance, Nigel was employed as an auditor with Binder Hamlyn for four years, before joining the Association in 1991. He is responsible for all aspects of the Association's IT strategy and is also involved in the assessment of statistical data.

Adrian Durkin

Adrian Durkin

Manager

Adrian, a solicitor, joined the Association in 1999 from maritime lawyers Rayfield Mills having previously worked in Eversheds' shipping department. He has broad experience in all aspects of shipping and marine insurance litigation in the English High Court and London Arbitration and also in providing supervision, advice and opinions for use in overseas proceedings. He is involved in all types of claims and has particular responsibility for overseeing the claims of charterer memebers andt those involved in specialist and offshore operations.

Tricia Forrest

Tricia joined the Association in August 1992 after working for a firm of Newcastle solicitors. She gained an LLB (Honours) degree in law at Lancaster University and is primarily concerned with cargo claims.

Ken Govan

Manager

Ken joined the Association in September 1988 after having previously been with average adjusters Richards Hogg in Glasgow for some thirteen years. He is primarily involved with our sister company MSMI, dealing with hull and machinery matters, however, he also handles claims in respect of fixed and floating objects, and admiralty matters for the Association.

Mike joined the FD&D Department in July 1999. Prior to joining the Association, Mike was a partner with the Houston maritime law firm Eastham, Watson, Dale & Forney. He was called to the Bar of the State of Texas in 1987, and is also admitted to practice law in The district of Columbia and Marine.

Stephen Rebair

Steve joined the Association in 1997, initially working in the Claims Department before joining the Underwriting Department in 2004. In addition to his general underwriting role, Steve has particular responsibility for the War Risks class. Steve holds a law degree, and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Mark Robinson

Mark qualified as a solicitor in 1984 and has specialised in FD&D claims ever since. After five years with Newcastle solicitors Ingledew Botterell (now Eversheds) he joined Newcastle P&I Association in 1989.

Nick Tonge

Nick Tonge

Manager

Obtained a BA (Honours) in Communication Studies in 1982 and joined the Association in 1984 following one and a half year's Post Graduate research at the University of Leeds. Nick became Assistant Manger in 1988 and Manger in 2000. In 1995, Nick was given special responsibility for services to Members including the coordination of activities involving correspondents. Nick is the Association's Representative on the International Group Representation Sub-Committee, and currently serves as Chairman of the Sub-Committee.

Simon joined the Association after gaining several years experience in the Claims Department of Liverpool & London. Simon previously worked as a Claims Executive with Steamship Mutual for eight years having graduated with an Honours Degree. In March 2006 Simon moved to the Underwriting Department and became an Underwriting Manager.

Henry joined the Association in 2000 from Liverpool & London P&I. Previously he served with the Corporation of Lloyd's and had a number of years prior P&I claims experience with Steamship Mutual.
